Michael Vick is back in the NFL. All I can say is it's about time. I know there are people who are upset and furious and to them I say hush. Yes, I know all about what Vick did and everything and I am a dog lover but Vick did his time. Vick did 2 years in prison lost everything he ever had and there are people who feel he should not go back into the NFL. They feel Vick should be working like regular people and never get a second chance. Now everybody has done something that they wish they had a second chance. Now not everyone was cruel to animals. Maybe you cheated, maybe you stole, maybe you did drugs, killed someone, etc. I bet you wished you had a second chance and what if someone said no, you are done get out. You would feel that was unfair and would try everything to get your life back together. Michael Vick deserves nothing less and to those still harping on the dog crime you need to get your act together. Everybody that is on, a dare I say it, a crusade against Vick are just bandwagon folk and do not read anything else going on.
Allow me to introduce you to a player you may have heard of or not or dismissed it, Dante Stallworth. Who is he, well he is a football player for the Cleveland Browns. He has been bounced around teams so a little under the radar. Well on March 14th, of 2009 Stallworth struck and killed a man. Stallworth was legally drunk when police arrived. He also served 24 of a 30 day sentence. The commissioner of the NFL suspended him for one year and will be reinstated after the Super Bowl of this year. Stallworth really only did 24 days but the NFL made him stay out for a year. So I ask you this which is the worse crime. According to everyone its the dog because nobody is outrage about Stallworth killing a human being.
I think everyone is upset at Vick one because he is a high profile athlete and Stallworth was not as in the spotlight. My other theory is the fact that people feel sorry for the dog than the human because dogs can't speak or express so they need human to take care of them. I hope that is what it is. I am still really upset at people thinking he does not deserve anything because he only gets 1 chance and that's it. Now I am not saying I condoned anything Vick did but I feel he deserve another chance like everyone else in the world. Before you go judging Vick and his crimes look back on your life and he without sin well you know the rest.

Michael Jackson
Okay I can finally get around to writing about Michael Jackson. I knew this was gong to be long and most time was just being lazy. Michael Jackson departed this world on June 25, 2009 and it was a shocked when I heard about it. I was actually on my way to the Thunder draft party and received a text about it or my wife told me before can't remember my mind will work out the details later. So at the time I hate to say was too excited about the draft, because it was my first one, to really let the news hit me. I originally wanted to post right after the funeral so I could comment on everything and has you can see I did but just a little late.
I enjoyed Michael Jackson I thought he was a great performer and loved his music, the only movie I liked him in was The Wiz. Moonwalker was okay and we won't even get into Caption EO. I think I might have gone to a concert when I was small enough not to remember but unsure but the world will miss him. Michael to me was not afraid to make music that gave hope, challenged the way you thought.
Now I would like to address such craziness as the whole wanting to be white idea. I heard this too much and be I thought why would one man keep up with the lie for so long so much pain dealt with that. Just doesn't seem right especially for a man that sang Liberian Girl. For a man that had black people as kings and queens in Remember the time. For a man that sang They don't care about us. For a man that gave to the United Negro College Fund over 20 million. Yes, Michael Jackson truly wanted to be white, give me a break. But everybody said Thriller was great I grew up with the album, so I have no idea what to compare it with. If you asked me based on song value which album I will grab first and jam it is Off the Wall. Everybody is like Thriller but Off the Wall is so underrated. That album has everything and is my favorite. And let me explain I did not hear off the wall until like my 20s. I heard some songs buy never the album and that album rocks. Now I am not saying Thriller is horrible or perhaps it might be the fact that the only Michael Jackson record I played forever and after years of only hearing thriller maybe a little worn out. But I paused to write to look over the Track listing to see if I was correct and most of the songs on that album were awesome, so maybe I might be wrong.
I did watch the memorial and it was touching, i did not get the see the entire thing due to my schedule but enough to really say not miss much. I also had the misery of after it was over to flip through the channels and saw Bill O'Reilly talking mess about Michael. He says he should have a memorial because of what went down with the kids and that we are praising a evil person. The segment upset me that it will forever ruin my original feeling I had for the memorial. Now about these allegations. When they first came out I was shocked and unsure but Michael was not charged and I was happy. When it happened again I was like "Really". I was thinking maybe it was true but when not charged was skeptical but figured it was good. Then every body always wants to ask the question would you let Michael watch your kids and most people respond "NO!" I would respond NO to, not because its Michael and what he was charged with but because I do not know this man. I have no idea what he does in his spare time, I do not hang around him 24/7. Michael might like to blast some NWA and I may not want my kids exposed to that. Parents are going to be cautious about who they allow to watch their children and if they do not know anybody, they will not trust them and that is what it is. I don't know Michael so not trust.
This reader will miss Michael and will especially miss the opportunity to introduce his children to Michael. I mean i can still do that but they won't be able to hear him live or see him or anything. We will miss you Michael Jackson.
